Housing Partnerships Coordinator (Parental Leave)

Position type: 

Parental Leave Contract (Approximately 12 Months), Full-Time 

JOB SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for supporting the Manager of Housing Partnerships for Habitat for Humanity Northumberland (HFHN) to implement program administration. Specifically, the position will be responsible for interfacing with applicants, and delivering specific social service programs in the community. The position will also be responsible for implementing systems for tracking and reporting on the success of HFHN’s programs.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the distribution and project completion of all Northumberland Renovates (including the revolving fund), Habitat Maintains, ReNew It, (otherwise known as Home Repairs Suite) and Furniture Program funding by delivering all elements of the programs (including quarterly and annual reporting requirements); 

  • Meet applicants where they’re at in completing applications to Home Repairs Suite.  

  • Implement the ongoing maintenance of the Northumberland County Homeownership Down-payment Assistance program including managing the reporting and supporting the distribution of the revolving fund; 

  • Develop and implement a communication strategy for delivery of the Home Repairs Suite, especially, Northumberland Renovates, including developing relationships with other social service agencies, local health care professionals and other relevant professionals; 

  • Provide administrative support to the Manager of Housing Partnerships for other HFHN and service delivery programs; 

  • Participate in the local advocacy efforts related to affordable housing;  

  • Oversee the partner family application process including the preparation and processing of homeownership and ReNew It applications; 

  • Other, as required; and 

  • Work week will require flexibility of schedule as some activities occur in the evening or on weekends. 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in the social service field or with a not-for-profit organization; 

  • Strong people skills; interpersonal skills, active listening, compassion and understanding for lived experience (folks in vulnerable states/situations) 

  • Administrative experience and skills; experience with database management, (Salesforce) 

  • Computer Skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 

  • Strong communication and networking skills, with proven results; 

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; 

  • Access to a vehicle; 

  • Ability to work flexible hours – some nights and weekends; 

  • Commitment to the mission of Habitat for Humanity Northumberland and representing that mission within the community.
