ReStore Volunteers
Join Habitat for Humanity Northumberland!
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Habitat for Humanity Northumberland is seeking volunteers to join our ReStore team. We partner with families and individuals to create and maintain sustainable housing solutions, helping people build strength, stability, and self reliance through homeownership and critical home repairs. Join us in making a lasting impact in our community!
Proceeds from the Habitat for Humanity Northumberland’s ReStore goes toward Habitat for Humanity Northumberland. Habitat works to eliminate barriers to a better, healthier, more financially stable life. With our help, homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better future for themselves and for their families.
We are looking for individuals who would like to do any of the following in our ReStore:

Cashier: processing sales, taking phone calls, greeting customers etc.

Wayfinder: being available on the sales floor to help customers find what they are looking for etc.

Merchandising: Tidying/reorganizing the sales floor to ensure customers can find what they need.

Tinkering: testing electrical/mechanical items to see if they work, making small repairs, assembling flat-pack furniture etc.

Processing: sorting through donations, determining if items are fit for sale, researching prices, etc. Heavy lifting is required.

Pickups: riding with our truck driver and helping load large pieces into the truck. Heavy lifting is required.
