Capital Campaign exceeds $400,000 goal

On Thursday February 8th, 2024, Habitat for Humanity Northumberland staff welcomed volunteers, donors, and sponsors to a recognition event for the support they received over the course of 2023. At this event, The Building Hope with Families capital campaign co-chairs Jacqueline Pennington and Greg Campbell along with their children and the campaign cabinet revealed the completed giant thermometer, with a total of $420,900 raised towards the 2.5-million-dollar 7-unit Net Zero Townhome Baltimore project. This is the largest development that Habitat Northumberland has undertaken at one in time in its 25-year history.

 

The Building Hope with Families capital campaign started a year ago with the hopes of raising additional funds and support for this project. The goal was $400,000 and the group was thrilled to see this amount exceeded.

 

All those who have pledged over $1,000 were recognized at the event: CMHC, Cameco Corporation, Community Power Northumberland, Jacqueline Pennington Real Estate, Rotary Club of Cobourg, HTM Insurance & the Build for Brandon Week, Delray Granite, Lion’s Club of Cobourg, Behan Construction, Tony Pulla & Jan Rosamond, Sagen, Zoelle Plumbing, Quinn Electric,  Jennifer Darrell, HTM Board of Directors, June Mackenzie, Gordon & Patti Ley, Pam & Steve Went, Jennifer Lean-Gadbois, Stewart Richardson & Nancy Oliver, Arsenault-Moore Family Foundation, Lynda Kay, Paul & Joan Macklin, Howard Keith Oliver, Forrest Rowden, Janet Sedgewick, David & Nancy Lester, Bridgett Gallagher, Cambium Inc, Central Restoration Services, Daphne King, Joe Hofstede, Reid Ryerson, Ryan Combden & Sharon O'Connor.

 

Habitat Northumberland is now processing expressions of interest for families hoping to become future homeowners in Baltimore.
