Habitat Northumberland Celebrates JOY Grant Support and Youth Employment Success
Updated: 6 hours ago

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, ON – Habitat for Humanity Northumberland is celebrating the success of its participation in the JOY Youth Opportunity Grant program, made possible through the Community Foundation of Campbellford/Seymour and Northumberland.
Through this funding, Habitat Northumberland welcomed Kaitlyn as a Social Media Assistant, bringing fresh ideas, creativity and enthusiasm to the organization's communications and community engagement efforts.
Throughout her placement, Kaitlyn helped grow Habitat's social media following, increase engagement and share the organization's impact with a wider audience. From promoting community events to highlighting Habitat's programs and initiatives, her contributions helped strengthen the organization's digital presence.
"This opportunity was a win for everyone," said Aimee Tedford of Habitat for Humanity Northumberland. "Kaitlyn brought incredible energy and creativity to our team. We were able to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, but we also learned so much from her fresh perspective and understanding of social media trends."
The JOY Grant program demonstrates the value of investing in youth employment while supporting the capacity of local nonprofit organizations.
Habitat Northumberland extends its sincere thanks to the Community Foundation of Campbellford/Seymour and Northumberland for making this opportunity possible and helping the next generation of community leaders develop their skills.
